I published release [0.3.0] of BOARD18. This release is upward compatible with release 0.2.x.<br>
I intend to publish release 0.4.0 of BOARD18. This release will be upward compatible with release 0.3.x.
I also created a new demo site at [http://demo2.board18.org demo2.board18.org] which uses the new release. Please use this site for all new games.


This release will contain the following enhancements:

* Upgraded to JQuery version 1.11.0.

Mid Term

Summer 2014

Will continue to maintain the release 0.3 line if and when bugs are found.
Release 0.4.0 (see below) will be the next minor release.
Release 0.5.0 (see below) will be the following minor release.
Release 1.0.0 (see below) will be the next major release.

October, 2014

I intend to publish release 0.4.0 of BOARD18. This release will be upward compatible with release 0.3.x.

This release will contain only one enhancement (Issue 29) which will remove the automatic resizing of tokens and tiles on maps and stock charts from BOARD18. This change will require new versions of a number of the earliest created game boxes. These new versions will be created as part of this release.

  • Issue 20 - Associated spreadsheet or log file URL.
  • Issue 30 - Investigate Google open API for authentication.
  • Issue 31 - Game over enhancement
  • Issue 21 - Allow players to view games that they are not playing.

Long Term

First Quarter 2015

I intend to publish release [1.0.0] and load it to a new demo site. This release may not be compatible with release 0.x.x.
This release will likely address most of the following enhancement requests as well as other enhancements to be determined:

  • Issue 28 - Checkpoint/revert functionality.
  • Allow for object types other than tokens and tiles.
  • Allow for flat up tile orientation on map sheets. As in 18EU.
  • Issue 27 - Create "Admin" player type for site administrative functions.

The Far Future

  • More ease of use enhancements for new game box creation.
  • Issue 1 part 2 - Some sort of undo functionality.
  • Issue 10 - Avoid needing actual right click for "right click menu options"
  • A better help function [hopefully].
